Some prices and product ranges on the Site are visible only to approved trade accounts. Applying for a trade account does not guarantee approval, and we may decline or withdraw an account at our discretion.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation.
Trade pricing is offered to the approved account holder for their own business use. It is not transferable.
We supply architectural glass hardware. Product descriptions, dimensions, finishes and images are provided to help you identify a product and are indicative rather than a specification for engineering or structural purposes.
You are responsible for confirming that a product is suitable for your application before installation. Glass thickness, panel weight, span, fixing substrate, building code and any structural or safety requirement must be assessed by a competent person. Where a manufacturer publishes load ratings, tolerances or installation instructions, those documents govern.
Finishes vary between production batches and screen colours are not an exact match for the physical finish. Where an exact match to existing hardware matters, request a sample before ordering.
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude taxes, shipping and any duties unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
Prices may change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the price shown when we accept the order. We correct pricing and description errors when we find them; if an error materially affects an order you have placed, we will contact you before proceeding and you may cancel.
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges that we received it; it is not acceptance. We accept your order when we dispatch it or otherwise confirm acceptance in writing.
We may decline or limit an order — for example where stock is unavailable, a price or description was wrong, we cannot verify payment or account details, or the quantity is inconsistent with normal trade use.
Custom, cut-to-size and special-order items are made or sourced for you specifically. Once production or ordering has begun these cannot normally be cancelled or returned.
Payment is due in full at the time of ordering unless your account has been approved for credit terms in writing. Where credit terms apply, invoices are payable by the due date shown on the invoice.
Overdue accounts may be placed on hold, and we may suspend trade pricing or further supply until the balance is settled.
Delivery and shipping options, costs and any eligibility conditions are shown at checkout. Order pickup, where offered, is from our Mississauga location during business hours.
Delivery dates and transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather or other events outside our reasonable control.
Please inspect goods on arrival. Report shortages, or damage in transit, promptly so that we can pursue a claim with the carrier — claims reported late may not be recoverable.
Returns require our authorisation before goods are sent back. To request a return, contact sales@obsidianhardware.com with your order number and the reason.
Goods must be unused, uninstalled and in their original packaging and condition. Custom, cut-to-size and special-order items are not returnable. Any restocking charge, return-shipping responsibility and the period within which a return may be requested are set out in our Refund Policy and in the authorisation we issue.
Nothing here limits your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Products are covered by the warranty offered by their manufacturer, where one applies. We will pass on the benefit of a manufacturer's warranty to you and assist with a claim.
Warranties do not cover normal wear, damage in transit once accepted, incorrect installation, unsuitable application, modification, inadequate maintenance, corrosion caused by the installation environment or cleaning products, or use outside the manufacturer's stated limits.
Architectural glass hardware must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable building and safety codes. Incorrect installation can cause glass failure and serious injury.
We supply hardware only. We do not install, and we do not provide engineering, structural or code-compliance advice. Any guidance we offer is general information, not a professional opinion for your project.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for the goods giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of contract, cost of removal or reinstallation, site delay or labour costs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
The Site and its content — including text, images, logos and product photography — are owned by Obsidian Glass Hardware or our suppliers and are protected by copyright and trade-mark law. You agree not to use the Site unlawfully, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, to interfere with its operation, or to extract data from it by automated means without our written permission.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. The date at the top shows when this page was last changed.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory rights you have under consumer protection law in your own jurisdiction.
